The Franklin Sabers opened up conference Wednesday night with a huge conference win against conference foe Racine Case. Case opened up to an early 16 point lead in the first half. This was however cut down by a 23-5 run by the Sabers who went into half up two 35-33. The second half was tight and heated as we saw a pair of technicals give up Franklin's lead. However this sparked the sabers and saw them go on another huge run. This run was in large part due to a record tying 3 point performance set by senior guard Brady Clark. As Clark lead the charge from the perimeter, senior forward Brandon Tilley lead the charge down low with an added 22 points. The Sabers ended up winning 81-72 putting them atop of the SEC early on their campaign to try and threepeat as conference champions.
