What a career it has been for coach Tyler Podoll. He was able to celebrate a huge milestone in a coaches career by reaching 200 wins in his most recent win against Horlick. It wasn't an easy path to get there, his first 100 wins took 229 games but the next 100 came in a much faster fashion by getting there in almost half the time, taking only 135 games.

Coach Podoll's career has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. but most recently he has been celebrating his ups with 2 conference titles, 4 regional championships, and 1 Sectional Final.  He said the wins are just a part of the coaching experience. Building relationships, creating opportunities, and using basketball to create memories are more important than the number.  Many players he coached at Bay View and Franklin went on to play at the D3,2,1 level.  

Since coming to Franklin 8 years ago, he has instilled a culture built on communication, trust, and a championship mindset. He has built a foundation with the families in the youth, having over 200 campers per summer, while also cultivating community relationships with businesses.  The program wouldn't be where it is today without his hard work and dedication.

Besides the 200th win, Franklin Sabers secured their 7th winning season in a row, a continuing Saber record.
