Dawgs Let Loose

The Sabers took an early lead against the Trojans and never looked back.  This team looked revitalized and they brought a different type of energy that has yet to be seen this season. This lead to a dominant 76-46 win over the Tremper Trojans.

The shots were falling early for Junior guard Eli Podoll who ended up finishing the game with 13. With the early scoring came intense defense and physicality from Junior guard Jacques Brooks and Junior forward Terrance Shelton. Brooks lead the charge in shutting down Tremper's top scorer Dejuan Gaise and made it impossible for him to get a free look. Followed by Brooks' tough defense, came Shelton's physicality. The Junior forward gave the conferences top rebounders (Will Starks) a game he would like to forget as he only managed to grab a handful of rebounds and his scoring was limited to only the free throw line.

Not often does a player who doesn't score the entire game become player of the game but Shelton's physicality and grit proved otherwise. He was the driving force behind setting the tone and throwing Tremper off their game.

Look for the Sabers to continue their win streak this Thursday as they take on a tough Muskego team. Ticket information will follow soon so keep an eye out!
